Double E

Double E is a surface production equipment brand of Datwyler, an industrial sealing manufacturer that describes itself as having supplied sealing products for more than 100 years. The Double E line covers well pressure control equipment used in wireline and pumping operations, which the company groups into six product lines. Datwyler also applies the Double E name to rubber to metal bonded seals built for downhole completion tools.

## Cap King series

The Cap King series is a line of permanent oil savers aimed at capillary tubing service companies. Stated applications are well injection and semi-permanent gauge installation. Cap Kings, rod guides, stuffing boxes and SRS units are configured by bore size, with size selection quoted in inches.

## Seals for completion tools

Double E is one of three Datwyler brands working in rubber to metal bonded seals, alongside Parco and TST. Named oil and gas applications for those seals are liner hangers, frac plugs, packers, toe valves and safety valves. Seals are custom engineered across a range of dimensions, and the company cites tight tolerances for high pressure, high temperature and chemically demanding service.

## Materials and manufacturing

Datwyler offers more than 500 compounds across 11 elastomers, mixed in house, and lists a catalogue of more than 30,000 parts. Metal components are machined on CNC equipment at the company's own facilities. US manufacturing and development sites are in California, Louisiana and Texas, with tooling in Switzerland and a custom compound mixing plant at Novy Bydzov in the Czech Republic.
