Ferguson Industrial distributes pipe, valves and fittings (PVF), MRO supplies and flow control equipment from more than 170 locations nationwide, staffed by over 2,500 associates. Beyond distribution the company fabricates, machines and repairs process components and runs supply chain programs for industrial customers. Products are sourced through an Approved Manufacturer List (AML), which the company describes as its mechanism for confirming suppliers meet both industry standards and its own specifications.
## Product lines
- **Flow control:** manual, automated and control valves, instrumentation, mechanical seals, pumps and gaskets
- **PVF:** pipe, fittings, flanges, gaskets, industrial fasteners and steam specialties

An Automated Valve Configurator on the company website allows a valve automation package to be specified, then printed, downloaded or shared as schematics. Industrial safety and spill control products are carried from brands including 3M, Honeywell, DuPont, Kimberly-Clark Professional, ERB, SAS Safety, ErectaStep and Meltblown Technologies.
## Fabrication and site services
Project support covers turnarounds and shutdowns, capital project services and project management. Supply chain work includes integrated supply, vendor managed inventory, procurement services, inventory management, national account management and national quotations.
## Quality and certifications
Many of the company's industrial locations are certified to the ISO 9001 standard, and its Metrology and Material Services (MMS) testing laboratory is certified to ISO 17025 and is ILAC-MRA registered. Flow control products are uniquely identified and traceable, and product quality and compliance documents are controlled corporately by a Quality Council.
Sanitary lines are supplied against 3-A and ASME-BPE standards, which set interior surface finish requirements:
| Standard | Interior surface finish |
| --- | ---: |
| 3-A sanitary fittings | 32Ra or better |
| ASME-BPE fittings | 20Ra and 15Ra electropolished |
The 3-A designation applies to hygienic processing and packaging equipment and requires independent third party verification inspection to earn and maintain. BPE-designated equipment carries traceability requirements and material verification, and is packaged for contamination-free transfer.
