Ram-Gear was founded in 1990 to provide parts and services to the South Texas oil patch and now serves customers in 11 countries and multiple industries. The company manufactures gears and pinions at its facility in Alice, Texas, including replacement gears for over 50 brands of pumping units and gears for drawworks, triplex, and quintuplex pumps. It is a full-service pumping unit shop offering new unit installs, field moves, structural bearing repair, gearbox repair, and refurbished pumping units that pass a 131-point inspection. Ram-Gear also supplies electric motors, gas engines, sucker rods, and downhole pumps, and offers electronic preventative maintenance and inspection reporting through its Ramaps product. Replacement pumping unit gears cover brands such as Lufkin, American, Churchill, Emsco, National, Gardner Denver, Gaso, and Wheatley.
